The video game has evolved exponentially from its origins to the contemporary era, from a simple pastime it has become an integral part of society, becoming today a phenomenon that moves the masses followed by several generations. The importance of knowing its history is essential to understand: the evolution and language of the modern video game, its multiple applications and forms of recreational, sportive and cultural entertainment. It interests kids from a young age and parents that need to understand their children's behavior and their relationship with video games.
The Importance of Interaction
The player's action is at the center of the narrative experience, the path develops in chronological stations, thanks to which it is possible to retrace the fundamental phases of the evolution of the video game. Consisting of the most famous consoles and video games that have made history, interactive documentary, advertising of the time and unique pieces. With a simple, engaging and modern form of presentation, it provides a global image with different learning paths, according to age and level of knowledge.
The Exhibition's structure
The exhibition is developed in 18 chronological stations which represent the fundamental points of change in the history of videogames. From the first experiments in laboratories and universities in the 1950s through the first commercial consoles, to the great battles between the companies Sega, Nintendo and Sony, up to the evolution of the modern video game with a station reserved to virtual reality.
